Santa Ana, CA (August 22, 2023) – On Tuesday evening, August 22, at least one person was hurt in what seems to have been a rear-end collision in the Santa Ana area.
The incident reportedly occurred on the northbound side of Interstate 405, close to the exit to Harbor Boulevard. Officers with the Santa Ana Police Department arrived at the scene around 6:45 p.m., and fire rescue crews and emergency medical services were subsequently called to the scene.
California Highway Patrol officers and emergency medical technicians assisted the accident victims. Initial CHP reports indicated that a small SUV and an unidentified sedan were involved in the crash, which happened in the left-hand lanes of traffic.
According to the police, one or two people were injured and required on-scene medical attention. However, whether any of the victims were sent to a hospital for further care is unknown.
CHP troopers are still looking into the crash, along with Santa Ana officers. In the interim, no new details have been made public.
The injured victims and their families are in our thoughts at this time. We hope for their full recovery.
