San Juan Capistrano, CA (May 22, 2023) – On Monday afternoon, May 22, local law enforcement officers were called to the site of a crash involving many vehicles.
Authorities were sent to the scene of the crash at around 4:30 p.m. to provide assistance and conduct an investigation. CHP early investigations indicate that the collision occurred close to the Junipero Serra Road exit off of northbound I-5.
Video from the incident shows police, EMTs, and other responders arriving. Shortly after the event, emergency medical services arrived and seemed to treat at least one casualty at the scene of the accident, however, it is unclear whether or not anybody was sent to a nearby hospital.
Police haven’t released any new information since the collision, but they are still looking for eyewitnesses. The investigation by the CHP is still ongoing.
