Alhambra, CA (March 16, 2022) – On the afternoon of Wednesday, March 16, a 90-year-old woman was sent to the hospital after she was injured in an accident caused by a police pursuit. Authorities said the chase started at around 4:17 p.m. when a driver operating a stolen vehicle fled police.
The pursuit ended after the suspect’s vehicle collided with several other cars. The driver turned into the northbound lanes of Interstate 710 and rear-ended a Prius before coming to a stop on the freeway.
First responders arrived on-site including paramedics and police. EMTs transported the suspect and the 90-year-old female victim to an area hospital for treatment.
Nothing further regarding the incident has been reported.
Authorities continue to investigate.
