Santa Ana, CA (November 9, 2023) – Officers from the California Highway Patrol reported that a multi-vehicle accident happened in Santa Ana on Thursday, November 9, and resulted in an unknown number of victim injuries.
At 6:30 p.m., two or three vehicles collided on State Highway 55, causing injuries. According to the CHP, the accident occurred on southbound State Road 55 near the 17th Street exit.
At the crash scene, at least one person reportedly needed emergency medical attention. Paramedics, police, and others were called to the scene, and individuals with more serious injuries were transported to neighboring hospitals.
SR 55 was closed as police performed their preliminary investigation at the scene. By 7:00 p.m., the road had been reopened, though CHP troopers said the investigation would continue.
