Westminster, CA (May 23, 2023) – A 29-year-old motorcyclist from Anaheim was killed in Westminster on Friday after a vehicle accident involving one other driver, according to authorities.
At 3:55 p.m., officers from the Westminster Police Department were sent to the 15100 block of Brookhurst Street, close to the intersection with Bolsa Avenue, according to WPD Commander Kevin MacCormick.
When police arrived, they discovered a two-vehicle accident involving a motorcyclist with critical injuries. Orange County Fire Authority firefighters arrived at the site and declared the motorcyclist dead before they could be transferred to a local hospital.
The driver of the passenger vehicle involved was transferred to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Initial indications are that drugs and alcohol did not play a role in this crash. Witnesses who saw the incident are asked to contact WPD Traffic Division Sergeant Anil Adam. An investigation is ongoing in the interim.
