Cypress, CA (March 2, 2023) – On Saturday, February 25, in Cypress, two people traveling in a Tesla were killed, and the driver of a Ford Flex sustained significant injuries in an accident, according to authorities.
The Cypress Police Department responded to the junction of Walker Street and Orange Avenue for reports of a serious car accident at around 4:25 p.m.
The Tesla driver and a passenger were declared dead at the site of the accident. The Flex driver was transferred to UCI Medical Center with significant injuries, per a news release from the Cypress police department.
Further details on the accident were not immediately available.
Traffic was delayed in the area while authorities worked to secure the scene. Cypress officers provided no further information in the meantime but say that their investigation is ongoing.
