California Auto Collisions

California is among the top three states in the United States with the most auto accidents reported per year. On average, the state sees more than 400,000 car crashes annually that injure hundreds of thousands of people and take the lives of more than 3,000. Texas and Florida are the two other states at the top of the list with the most car crashes reported per year in the United States.

Driver negligence is the main cause of car crashes in the United States. Information provided by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration reports that over 90% of vehicle collisions reported in the US today are the result of driver negligence. Speeding, intoxication, fatigue, and distraction are the most commonly seen types of driver negligence in the country. Drivers who choose to look at their phones, talk to people in the car, fiddle with the radio, drive at unsafe speeds, drive while intoxicated or fatigued cause the majority of the car crashes that happen in the United States today.
