Huntington Park, CA (August 1, 2022) – A hit-and-run accident involving a Metro bus injured there people in Huntington Park on the morning of August 1. At approximately 1:15 a.m., police were sent to the scene of the wreck on Pacific Boulevard.
Reports indicate the crash happened on Pacific Boulevard near Clarendon Avenue when the Metro bus was t-boned by a silver Scion. The bus was headed north on Pacific Boulevard when the hit-and-run driver drove through a red light traveling east on Clarendon Avenue.
The impact forced the driver of the bus to slam into a nearby light pole. The bus driver was among those with injuries on the bus after the accident occurred. The Los Angeles County Fire Department assisted those with injuries at the scene.
Two others along with the bus driver were transported to nearby hospitals for treatment. Their injuries were deemed non-life-threatening, according to reports.
Authorities continue to investigate the details of the incident.
