Costa Mesa, CA (June 17, 2022) – Linda Lefler was identified as the victim who lost her life in a fatal hit-and-run crash in Costa Mesa. The incident was reported to authorities in the area at around 9:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 15.
Sources say the fatal wreck happened on Fairview Road near Baker Street when 64-year-old Lefler was hit by a car. She succumbed to her injuries on-site, according to reports.
The driver who struck the woman left the scene without stopping to render aid or wait for authorities to arrive. Police identified the involved vehicle as possibly a silver Toyota sedan with moderate front-end and windshield damage.
Police have not provided any details concerning the driver. Nothing further has been reported at this time.
