Corona, CA (March 23, 2022) – On Monday, March 21, two people were hurt in a multi-vehicle collision on a freeway in Corona. The wreck was reported as a three-vehicle pile-up that happened at approximately 10:40 a.m. 

Sources say the incident occurred in the westbound lanes of the 91 Freeway near the 71 Freeway. Preliminary reports showed that two cars and a pickup truck collided for reasons still being investigated by police. 

Medics transported two seniors to Riverside Medical with moderate injuries. At this time, no other injuries have been reported. 

Police closed both lanes of the transition bridge on the 91 Freeway while crews worked at the scene. The California Highway Patrol directed traffic in the area for some time on the morning of March 21. 

Authorities continue to investigate the details of the incident.
