Seal Beach, CA (April 16, 2021) – A woman was hit and killed while walking in a post office parking lot in Seal Beach on Wednesday morning, April 14, officers said.

Around 11:15 a.m., police responded to a call about a pedestrian accident at the U.S. Postal Service on 2929 Westminster Avenue. The woman who was hit was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics, officers with the Seal Beach Police Department said. The woman was reportedly walking near the building when she was struck by a car.

The driver of the vehicle was uninjured and cooperated with police, Lt. Nick Nicholas said. Investigators are still piecing together the events leading up to the crash and have not released details about the woman’s identity.
