Huntington Beach, California (January 20, 2021) – Two people lost their lives in a fatal crash that took place in Huntington Beach this past Tuesday evening, January 19. The crash was stated to have taken place at approximately 6:45.
According to reports, the incident occurred on the Pacific Coast Highway (PCH) near Warner Avenue. A 2007 Dodge Ram being driven by 35-year-old Eric Kinser of Sunset Beach was headed north on PCH when he crossed over the center median and crashed head-on into Mitchell Tyler Wade, 19. Wade was driving a 1999 Toyota Solara.
A 2012 Lexus RX350 being driven by Huntington Beach resident Cindi Darrelyn Zerovs, 71, was also involved in the collision. Zerovs lost her life in the crash. She was pronounced deceased at the accident scene.
A passenger present in Zerovs’ vehicle at the time of the accident sustained injuries. She was transported via ambulance to OC Global Medical Center for treatment.
Wade was taken to UC Irvine Medical Center where he later succumbed to his injuries and passed away. Kinser was hospitalized at UCI with unspecified injuries and then booked under the suspicion of intoxicated driving.
All three vehicles involved in the incident sustained serious damage following the crash.
