Long Beach, CA (December 25, 2020) – One person was hit and killed by a car on Wednesday, December 23rd near a California Heights neighborhood when the driver of a 2007 Mercedes struck a woman who was allegedly in the roadway.
The accident took place at about 10:30 p.m. in the 300 block of East Wardlow Road. The involved vehicle was driving eastbound when it hit the pedestrian who some reports claim was not in a crosswalk.
The victim, who has not yet been identified, received medical treatment at the scene before she was transported via ambulance to a nearby hospital where she passed away a short while later.
The driver of the car was a 65-year-old woman from Long Beach. She remained at the crash site and has cooperated with the police.
