Fullerton, CA (September 17, 2020) – A pedestrian was killed during a hit-and-run car accident on Orangethorpe Avenue on the morning of Wednesday, September 16th.
The fatal collision took place at around 5:40 a.m. near the intersection of Auto Center Drive.
Local law enforcement officers stated that, for reasons that have yet to be determined, a car collided with a male pedestrian on Orangethorpe Avenue. Police reports indicate that, at the time of the accident, the man was standing in the middle of the street.
Officials from the local fire department as well as emergency medical personnel were also dispatched to the crash site, where they pronounced the victim dead at the scene.
The identity of the deceased victim has not yet been released as police officers are still awaiting the notification of his next of kin.
Crash investigators confirmed that the driver involved failed to stop and render aid to the victim and instead fled eastbound along Orangethorpe Avenue.
This accident is still under investigation by local police.
