Los Angeles, CA (September 4, 2020) – A pedestrian accident reported in the Highland Park area left one woman fighting for her life on Tuesday evening. At approximately 9:20 p.m., on September 1, officers with the Los Angeles Police Department responded to the scene of a crash on Avenue 43.

Reports provided by officers with the LAPD show that a female pedestrian was walking on the eastbound side of Avenue 43 when she was struck by a white four-door Toyota Camry just west of the intersection with Carlota Boulevard.

The woman was seriously injured in the accident. She was rushed to an area hospital where she is expected to remain hospitalized for a long time. At this time, the crash remains under investigation with the Los Angeles Police Department’s Central Traffic Division.
