Negligent actions such as distracted driving, DUI, and speeding are among the top causes of seriously detrimental auto-pedestrian collisions. Another cause is the actions of criminal parties who intentionally hit victims for the purpose of causing harm. Losing a loved one in an unexpected incident that could have been avoided is one of the most traumatic experiences anyone can endure, and it is imperative for bereaved families to fully realize that they likely have substantial rights during such an overwhelming time.
Severe collisions don’t only cause physical and emotional pain but also leave victims and surviving families with the high costs of hospitalization and continued medical treatment such as physical therapy or funeral expenses, among other financial encumbrances. When a reckless or criminal party causes the suffering of another person, that party must be held accountable for compensating the victims or bereaved families. An aggressive pedestrian accident attorney in Orange County will go after the negligent party and guide you along the commonly difficult road to financial restitution.
