Irvine, CA (July 12, 2020) – Law enforcement officials have now released the identity of the bicyclist who was killed in a collision on Saturday morning, July 11th. Authorities said that 26-year-old Barbora Kabatova, of Irvine, was hit and killed along the I-405 off-ramp to Jeffrey Road in Irvine.
According to the California Highway Patrol, Kabatova was riding a bicycle on the off-ramp at Jeffrey Road when she was struck at around 9:45 a.m. Emergency crews arrived at the scene where Kabatova was pronounced deceased a short time later.
Authorities also stated that another victim suffered a leg injury during the crash but have not provided any further details. At this time, CHP officers are in charge of the investigation into this incident.
No more information has been reported.
