Santa Ana, CA (June 24, 2020) – Authorities with the Santa Ana Police Department have arrested a driver for fatally striking a pedestrian on Tuesday afternoon, June 23rd. The deadly collision was reported at the intersection of Bristol Street and McFadden Avenue at approximately 1:40 p.m.

According to authorities, the driver of a white BMW, identified as Kevin Guardado, 26, entered the intersection where he struck the victim in a crosswalk. Emergency crews were dispatched to the scene and the victim was pronounced deceased a short time later.

Guardado was later taken into custody on suspicion of DUI but no further details were reported. The incident remains under investigation.
